The N26 Bank Metal Credit Card is an ultra-premium product that is designed to change the way banks are done in Europe and beyond. It comes with a price of 16.90/month. In addition to the aforementioned benefits, the card also comes with a variety of additional perks and insurance coverage.
Since I wrote my original review of the N26 Credit Card last year, I have been able to save thousands of dollars on various transactions and fees with the card. In addition to free foreign transactions and international ATM withdrawals, the card also comes with travel insurance.
It’s a simplified banking product that I never thought possible, and it has given me more peace of mind.
Although I have to admit that the N26 Bank Metal Credit Card is not perfect, most of what it does is really, really good.
What Is N26 Metal? And Why You Should Care
The N26 Metal was first introduced in December 2017. It was initially available as an upgrade for N26 You users, but it is now available to everyone. It is the first credit card in the world to support Near Field Communication (NFC) payments. This was a big deal for the company.

N26 Metal Has Free ATM Withdrawals Worldwide
Through its partnership with TransferWise, N26 can offer free foreign currency withdrawals across the world. N26 Bank Metal Worth The Cost?
Based on a quantitative point, the amount of foreign currency that you can withdraw in a given month is a clear breaking point. With N26, you can easily withdraw 994 Euros.
N26 Metal saves money for everyone withdrawing €994 or more of a foreign currency in any given month.
For regular N26 users, the fee for foreign cash withdrawals is 1.7%. On the other hand, if you're a N26 Metal user, you don't pay any fee for foreign currency withdrawals, but you do pay 16.90 a month. This means that if we divide the fee by 1.7%, we get 994, which is the monthly breakeven point for N26 Metal.
Aside from the various features that come with N26 Metal, such as travel and medical insurance, it also comes with a lot of other factors that will affect your decision. For me, upgrading to N26 Metal is a no-brainer, as it comes with the same insurance policy that I would get with N26 You.
I couldn't be happier with N26 Metal due to its various features, such as the free foreign cash withdrawals and the app's ease of use. It also comes with a very impressive insurance policy. Having this card has made banking much easier, as it eliminates a lot of the problems that I had previously, such as dealing with vague and expensive travel and medical insurance policies.

If you make purchases and travel arrangements with your old N26 You card, those will still be covered by N26 Metal. As soon as you upgrade to N26 Metal, you'll see that the company stops charging you for the previous month's fees. These are the screens that you'll see when you go to upgrade.
